In Spain ‘molinos’ or mills are a symbol of tradition and in the rest of Europe they are the term used to refer to our sector. The term ‘fábrica de harina' or ‘flour factory’ was coined at the beginning of the 20th century to differentiate between traditional mills and the newer, more sophisticated facilities. In Spanish ‘harinera’ is the adjective from ‘harina’ (flour) but is also used as a noun to refer to flour production plants in general. All three concepts define Emilio Esteban SA, a company combining both tradition and modernity, which epitomises the Spanish saying ‘estar metido en harina’ - total commitment to a project or idea. read more
